NCJC Teen Board Fundraising for Israel
Some exciting news! The New City Jewish Center Teen Board has collected $1740 for Israel through bracelet sales. They raised $1500 for Caloola (www.caloola.co.il), a mobile art studio whose goal was to provide a moment of relief in the form of a creative art workshop for the children of families displaced due to the war in Southern and Northern Israel. $750 went to Kibbutz Nahal Oz in the south that was deeply impacted by October 7th. And the other $750 went to help those displaced due to fighting on the northern border in Kiryat Shmona, Metula, Kfar Yuval and more. As a thank you, they created a Zoom lecture on the kibbutz movement and what happened on October 7th by Israeli tour guide Inon, who also helps his wife, Calanit, run Caloola. The program was on Sunday, February 4th.
