Sisterhood
Sisterhood was so proud to plan and participate in many programs during May, June, July and August.
The Mother’s Day Seudah/Dinner was a huge success. The women of NCJC led the services. A special thanks to Carol Shulman, Rochelle Brief and Rochelle Welsh who led the major parts of the service.
A large group of NCJC Sisterhood members attended and enjoyed the Torah Fund Dinner held at Temple Israel Center in White Plains. We were also so proud to honor Marilyn Drayer as the honoree from NCJC Sisterhood. NCJC women contributed a total of $900 to the Women’s League Torah Fund this year.
Our book talk with Joan Legant was a huge success. She discussed her new book, “Displaced Persons.” It was wonderful listening to her share the experience of writing the book and about many of the characters in the book. Most attendees purchased a signed copy of the book.
Game Day continues to bring Sisterhood women together weekly to play Mah Jong. Everyone is invited to participate.
Sisterhood is also continuing the “yellow ribbon” sale. If you want to purchase one ($5), please contact Sisterhood. All money is donated to the “Tribe of Nova” Foundation.
As we complete another year, we want to thank our NCJC Sisterhood Board for all they do to bring programs and fun to the NCJC Community.
We are already planning activities for the Fall.
Wishing everyone a fun-filled and healthy end to the summer!
Rachelle and Sheila
