SISTERHOOD STARS SUPPORT…

  • Adult Education
  • Bar & Bat Mitzvah Gifts
  • Camp Ramah
  • Experience Israel Hebrew School Graduation
  • Israel Bonds
  • Playground Fund

New City Jewish Center Sisterhood is looking for “Stars” to add some sparkle to our fund raising efforts. Our Sisterhood is the “Heart of the Synagogue”. We provide much needed contributions to many facets of the New City Jewish Center community. Among our accomplishments are Adult Education programs, Mah Jong classes, knitting instruction, computer instruction, providing gifts to our Bar and Bat Mitzvah Students, and contributions to our Playground Fund. Sisterhood donations help provide both the physical and spiritual needs of New City Jewish Center.

In order to continue funding these programs and providing increasing financial support Sisterhood needs your help. We are creating a fund for extra contributions to Sisterhood. Sisterhood Stars will pledge $36 per year for the next 3 years. Those women who choose to contribute will have their names listed in Hakol and will receive a lovely certificate designed by Barbara Schreiber. Please help Sisterhood to continue to be a bright light for the New City Jewish Center. Become a Sisterhood Star.

PREPARING FOR YOUR UPCOMING SIMCHA

There are so many things to do to prepare for your special day, and we at the NCJC Gift Shop would like to help you by giving you a one-stop-shop for all your traditional necessities.

We carry a full line of Tallitot, Tfilllin, Kippot, and Benchers for your Bar Mitzvah young man or your Bat Mitzvah young lady.

We have an array of engagement/wedding gifts from contemporary Jewish designers which we select from their displays at the Javits Center Gift Show. We can also place special orders from our vendors’ catalogues.

We can accessorize any Shabbat table with Candlesticks, Challah Boards, Challah Covers, and Challah Knives. We can help you welcome the new week with Havdalah accessories after filling your Tzedaka Box when you light your Shabbat candles.

The most important thing you must know about our Gift Shop is that our prices are quite competitive. That’s right, you can support our synagogue with your purchases, and still save money!

Please contact us to arrange an appointment with one of our volunteers

SISTERHOOD & JUDAICA GIFT SHOP

EXCITING NEW PROGRAM

Our Sisterhood has joined with Treasures of King Solomon, an importer of fine Judaica from top artists across Israel, to create a fund-raising opportunity that all of our members and extended families and friends can enjoy.

For every purchase made, Treasures of King Solomon will donate 15% of the purchase price to the Sisterhood. Simply shop online at their web site, www.treasuresofkingsolomon.com, and at check-out, enter the code word “Israel” in the coupon code box and the system will apply your discount. Then select NCJC as the designated affiliate. It’s that simple!

You don’t have to be a member of the synagogue to participate. Family and friends from across the country can enjoy this discount and support our community and Israel at the same time. So, if you have a B’nai Mitzvah, or a wedding, or you’re just in the mood, now’s the time to visit Treasures of King Solomon before you buy elsewhere.
