Fred Astaire, An American Icon 

Sunday, October 21, 2018  2:00 - 4:00 pm

Light refreshments will be served.  

Marty Schneit will present an illustrated lecture on Astaire's life and work.  Film footage will include Astaire dancing with Ginger Rogers, Eleanor Powell, Rita Hayworth & Cyd Charisse.

"Women from Yemen"

Wednesday, October 3, 2018, 7:30 PM

Did you know that Jewish women from the Arab sovereign state of Yemen have made their home in Rockland County? Leslie Goldress, graduate of the Jewish Theological Seminary and community educator, will introduce several Yemeni women to speak about conditions Yemen that caused them to leave, their family life and experiences in their native country, and share authentic Yemeni food they have prepared.

The program is co-sponsored by National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) and Rockland Jewish Family Service (RJFS). Refreshments, Free, Open to the Public. The program starts at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, October 3rd at JCC Rockland, 450 W Nyack Rd, West Nyack. For more information, go to

Mitzvah Fair October 14

Israel Bonds is planning a Mitzvah Fair October 14th to introduce 6thand 7th grade children to mitzvah projects for their B’nai Mitzvah. This program will be held at the Rockland Jewish Community Campus.
