High Holidays - Parking Reservations

A limited number of reserved parking spots for the High Holidays are available for a donation of $400. Guarantee your space and parking comfort by  immediately sending your payment to the NCJC Office. If you have any  questions, please call the Office at 845-638-9600. 

Reservations must be made and fully paid for by September 20th.

A Call for Walkers!!

Want to stay in shape? Looking for good conversation or just have time to kill?   

You can accomplish all these objectives by joining us in walking Rockland Lake each morning.  Like life the only requirement for joining is just showing up. We meet at the large parking lot near the north pool at 8:30 am each week day morning.  If you want additional information you can call 845-634-4857.  We would also like to honor the person who initiated the walking group of members of NCJC -- Don Mason. So please join the Don Mason Rockland Walkers.  We welcome anyone who would like to join.

Middle Eastern Extravaganza Kickoff


All-Rockland Kadima & USYers

Sunday, September 22nd, 12-2pm

Please join us for an All-Rockland Kadima & USY Chapter kickoff event to start the year off right! Our Middle Eastern Extravaganza party will consist of belly dancing lessons, henna artists, a kosher lunch and snacks. All local Jewish teens are welcome! Make new friends and see old friends too!

There Was No Silence movie logo

On Thursday night, September 5th we will be showing the Premier of the movie "There was No Silence" at 7:30 pm at the Lafayette Theater in Suffern.

Please join us and buy your tickets today. This film is directed by local filmmaker Joe Allen and it will inspire you! Details are below and more information can be found at

"There Was No Silence" is a documentary about JCC Rockland's efforts to get a minute of silence for the 11 Israeli athletes murdered at the Munich Olympics in 1972. Timed to premiere on the 47th anniversary of the Munich massacre and less than a year before the Tokyo Olympics.

"There Was No Silence" celebrates the power of never giving up, the importance of communities standing up for what is right and how JCC Rockland's effort made a world-wide impact and created change.

Giving Back

Allyson Schoolsky became a Bat Mitzvah on June 8th and Emma & Jacob Newmark will become a Bat Mitvah and Bar Mitzvah (respectively) on October 26th.  Together they are collecting items such as gently used blankets, towels, or disinfectant wipes for Hi Tor Animal Shelter.   There is a container in the NCJC lobby to drop off any items you would like to donate. 

Sara Goldberg will become a Bat Mitzvah on September 1st.  She is collecting items for kids battling cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering hospital.  For more information please see attached flyer.

Jordana Levy will become a Bat Mitzvah on September 14th. For her Bat Mitzvah Project, she will donate money to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She knew, for this project, that she wanted to help children with cancer and to also do something that involves swimming. On a date to be determined this summer, Jordana will swim for 18 minutes straight doing laps at one of the town pools.

Lyle Haber will become a Bar Mitzvah on September 21st. He has been involved in spreading the word and collecting money for Camp Koby, a special camp in Israel, for children and teens impacted by terror, loss and trauma, over the past few years.  Here is a link with more information on how you can help Camp Koby.



Rosh Hashana and Passover greetings 

The sisterhood will send Rosh Shoshana and Passover greetings to your family and friends through the Hakol.  A great way to let your loved ones near and far know you're thinking of them.

See the Gift shop's collection of over 30 unique ketubahs!  All are signed and numbered.  Normally priced between $500.00 to $650.00.  We are selling them for $150.00!!

Come see us - if the shop is closed the ladies in the Office will help you.
