Unveilings
Unveilings
It is traditional Jewish practice to mark a year since the passing of a loved one with the unveiling of the foot or headstone. For more information on this practice, please click on the following link from MyJewishLearning.com.

New City Jewish Center encourages families to go to the cemetery for an unveiling ceremony. This simple and meaningful ceremony can take many forms and does not require the presence of a rabbi. To download the Unveiling Service recommended by our rabbis, please click here.
For more information or for assistance with crafting a meaningful unveiling ceremony for you loved one, please email Rabbi Allison at rabbiallison@newcityjc.org or call 845-638-9600.
